About the Artist

Creating has always been in my heart. My dad was a jeweler for a local jeweler in my hometown, so naturally I spent hours as a child watching him repair watches and jewelry in his shop at home and creating beautiful pieces. That time spent watching my dad spurred my love of creating beautiful things that has only grown since. I’ve even graduated from painting rocks in our driveway!

What began as a love of creating jewelry flowed into other creative avenues like painting, graphic design, crocheting, and sewing. I’m a graphic designer in my professional life, but creating tangible, wearable art has always been my true love. Hence, Studio Aurora was born.

You may notice that much of my inspiration for my pieces comes from elements of beach life. My favorite place in the world is the gulf coast of Florida, so much of my design draws from ocean waves, palm trees, seashells, beautiful sunsets, and rising light.

My mission with Studio Aurora is to produce the highest quality handmade jewelry, totes, and accessories as unique as the person who wears them. Many of my pieces are one or few-of-a-kind for that very reason. In the 20-plus years I have spent making jewelry, one of my favorite things is the joy of seeing customers still wearing pieces that I created long ago. I also love how a handmade piece of jewelry can make you feel beautiful, feminine, and put-together, even if you are just in a t-shirt and jeans.
